Light and Shadows

She was just there in my life – unnoticed and overlooked. Right from the bed sheets to the drawings on the wall, her presence felt in my life all the way. She was not an integral part of my life, but she was the most Important! Whatever she touches, she leaves her signature on it and those were all around my home.  She won’t allow me to sleep alone but she herself acted as pillow for me.

Her voice was so pathetic and rough, but those were the sweetest voice I have ever heard in my life. There was always an aura even in her absence. She just filled my life. Even on a trip to some place, she would carry a water-bottle, which tasted sweeter than those of soft-drink cans which we bought on the go.

She never bothered of anything. She loved me as such she herself has no life ahead. She thought that I am of paramount importance to her.  Her life was all about me. But all I could give her back was a Facebook post “Selfie with mom” – on the mother’s day.
